For The Record...

For the record. I believe Jesus would have been born on approximately Sept 26,3 BCE. We can know this for a number of reasons.  1st there are a number of requirements for the Messiah. If you read the front of the book understanding the Hebrew ways seeking to know the truth,  your eyes will be opened.

 The Messiah would be born to a Virgin, under the lineage of Judah.  So we know that he was Jewish.  We know his Mother was a virgin when the Holy Spirit blessed her with him, and both Mary & Joseph (Yeshua’s adopted father) were from the line of King David, in other words they were Jewish.

Following this, let us look at a couple of the scriptures that outline just these requirements and their effect on the date of his birth.

The prophet Daniel understood the Messiah's birth as a future prophecy to be fulfilled.  Daniel was an astronomer, and knew the scriptures well.  Gen 1:14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so.  The sun, moon and stars are there to mark our Heavenly Father’s  appointed times and the Lunar calendar marks out the Hebrew calendar to incredible accuracy.

Daniel was taken as a child to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar and  educated in Chaldean thought.  He never converted to Babylonian ways. He served three kings and was rewarded handsomely for his prophetic pronouncements.  He was a Eunuch which means he did not have any heirs.  Please keep in mind that the Chaldeans are likely also known as the Magi. In the New Testament we see the Wise men referred to as the Magi. Please follow carefully as This is where things get amazing.  Genesis 49:10 states The sceptre will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from his descendants, until the coming of the one to whom it belongs, the one whom all nations will honour.  This comes from the mouth of Jacob while he is blessing his son. 

The Hebrew word for Virgin is Betulah. This is also the name of a Constellation, which is listed under the Pagan Name Virgo.  In the Left hand of the Virgin is the Star called the Tzemach, which is translated as the Branch.  Yeshua is referred to as The Branch, see Jer. 33:15, Zech 6:12, Zech 3:8. There are 5 Branches to Yeshua's Ministry. In The book of Matthew he is THE KING, in Mark, he is the SERVANT, in Luke he is the SON of Man, In John the Son of God and in Revelation The COMING JUDGE.

The other constellation of importance is the Lion, known to most as Leo, it represents the Lion of Judah. In between it’s paws the star know to modern astronomers as Regulus . Regulus, the alpha star of Leo, was referred to in Greek as Basiliskos by Ptolemy, translated "Little King". Greek βασιλίσκος Basilískos, "little king"; is translated into Latin as Regulus, the word being a diminutive of Latin rex, "king". The Hebrew Name of the constellation is Arieh. There are 6 Hebrew words for Lion, this one means Hunting down his prey. Which is prophetic as that is exactly what Yahweh is doing. The star in between the paws is called Melek which means King.   



 

There are 8 conjunctions of His Star (Jupiter),  called Tzedek in Hebrew.  The first conjunction would have moved the Chaldean Astronomers into action. Preparations would likely have begun for the trip towards Jerusalem. It occurred when Jupiter came into conjunction with Venus, heading towards Melek (Regulus) It occurred on August 1^st, 3 BCE. The Magi, observing this conjunction from Mesopotamia, would have seen this conjunction on the western horizon, precisely in the direction of Judea. This conjunction likely was what started the Magi to Jerusalem for the celestial pageantry they knew would end in six months, by which time the King of the Jews would certainly be born. Now if you look up the Hebrew word conjunction of Melech-Tzadek you get  Melchizedek . You’ll find it means Righteous King.  It can be found only 3 times in the Bible.

The second conjunction would be the Great Sign as Jupiter(Tzedek) would come into conjunction with Melek(Regulus) between the feet of the Lion. This occurred on Sept 12, 3 BCE which in the Hebrew Calendar would be the 1^st day of the 7^th month.  The Day of Trumpets.  On this day, just after sunset according to scripture the sun would still be shedding light on the sky, the first sliver of the new moon appeared beneath the feet of the constellation known as Betulah.  At that same moment in the constellation of the Lion which is found above her head, the Planet Jupiter (Tzedek) and the Star Melek came into conjunction, fulfilling the prophecy set  forth by Jacob. This heralded the upcoming birth of the Messiah.  

The third conjunction occurred Monday February 17 2 BCE, "His Star" Tzedek - The Righteous (Jupiter) comes into conjunction with Melek (The King).

The Fourth Conjunction occurred Thursday May 8, 2 BCE, "His Star" Tzedek - The Righteous (Jupiter) comes into conjunction with Melek (The King).

The Fifth Conjunction occured on Tuesday June 17, 2 BCE, "His Star" Tzedek - The Righteous (Jupiter) comes into conjunction with Venus.

On August 27^th, 2 BCE Jupiter, also known as “His Star” Tzedek comes into a mass conjunction with Mercury, Venus and Mars.

On October 13, 2 BCE the Seventh Conjunction sees Jupiter come into conjunction with Venus and The Magi (Wise Men) soon leave Babylon in the east towards Jerusalem. They would likely have arrived in Jerusalem about December 19th or so. Meeting with Herod we see they knew the Prophecy of Micah about the Messiah. Herod being afraid of another taking his place sought to find the child. Matt 2:4 states: 4Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. 5They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for this is what has been written by the prophet:

6‘AND YOU, BETHLEHEM, LAND OF JUDAH,
         ARE BY NO MEANS LEAST AMONG THE LEADERS OF JUDAH;
         FOR OUT OF YOU SHALL COME FORTH A RULER

         WHO WILL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL.’”

The eighth conjunction occurs on December 21st, the Magi would have seen "His Star" positioned directly over Bethelehem as viewed from Herod's Palace (Modern Day Jaffa Gate) in Jerusalem. It was in "retrograde" meaning it appears not to move. They would have left immediately for Bethelehem. As it is less than a 5 mile journey, they would have arrived the same day to present their gifts within an hour of their departure.  Micah 5:2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." 

 The number of Wise men is not actually mentioned in the Bible.  Because three gifts are mentioned most people believe there were only three.   The likelihood of this is slim to none.   There would have been a large caravan with protection. The amount of the gifts brought by the wise Men would have been enough to carry Yeshua and his family through to his ministry and therefore would have been a substantial amount.  Matt 2:13-15  After they had gone, an angel of God appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and escape to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you to leave. For Herod is going to look for the child in order to kill him.” ¹⁴ So he got up, took the child and his mother, and left during the night for Egypt, ¹⁵ where he stayed until Herod died. This happened in order to fulfill what God had said through the prophet,“Out of Egypt I called my son.” Amazing timing when you think about it just in the nick of time, and clarification that Jesus was a toddler and not a baby.  When Mary went to the temple for her cleansing sacrifice, she brought the required turtledoves according to Luke 2:22-24 When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord ²³ (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”^[a]), ²⁴ and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”  According to Lev 12:6-8  “‘When the days of her purification for a son or daughter are over, she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting a year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a dove for a sin offering.^{[a] 7} He shall offer them before the Lord to make atonement for her, and then she will be ceremonially clean from her flow of blood.
“‘These are the regulations for the woman who gives birth to a boy or a girl. ⁸ But if she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”  We can know by this that the family had not received the riches brought by the Magi because she could only afford the turtledoves.

Now if you look up the Hebrew word conjunction of Melech-Tzadek you get  Melchizedek . You’ll find it means Righteous King.  It can be found only 3 times in the Bible.

Regulus is about 77 light-years away. It is the 21^st brightest object in the sky.It is estimated to have a surface temperature that averages roughly 21,000 degrees F. Interesting the number are divisible by 7.

Revelation 12:1 Brings it home for us as a verification: A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.

Micah 5:2predicts, “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.” The verse clearly speaks of a coming king in Israel, but does it predict the coming of the Messiah?

Micah 5:2makes a couple of predictions. First, the birthplace of this future “ruler of Israel” would be Bethlehem Ephrathah. Since there were two locations known as Bethlehem at the time of Micah’s writing, the addition of Ephrathah is significant. It specifies the Bethlehem in Judah, the portion of Israel in which the capital, Jerusalem, was located. Bethlehem was considered “little,” or insignificant, among the cities of Judah, yet would serve as the birthplace of this future ruler.

Second, the coming ruler of Jewish background was one “whose coming forth is from old, from ancient days.” What else could this refer to other than the Messiah? Only the Messiah fits the description of a ruler in Israel whose origin was from times past. In fact, “from ancient days” is sometimes synonymous with “eternal” (as in Habakkuk 1:12). Only the Jewish Messiah could be a ruler in Israel from eternity past.

This interpretation is strengthened by the fact that the Jewish religious leaders in the first century identified Micah 5:2 as a Messianic prophecy. In Matthew 2, wise men from the East visited King Herod in Jerusalem and asked where the king of the Jews had been born. Herod assembled all the chief priests and scribes, and “he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, ‘In Bethlehem of Judea,’” basing their answer on Micah 5:2.

We know from scriptural references that Christ was born six months after his cousin, John the Baptist (Luke 1:26, 36).  Also from Biblical references we can pin down two possible times of year for John’s birth.  I believe John’s father, Zacharias, was in the temple performing his priestly duties during the course of Abijah on the eighth week of the year. An angel visited him in a vision and informed him that his wife Elisabeth, who was barren and on in years, would soon bear a son.  We know from Luke that Zacharias was responsible for the eighth of the 24 courses of the temple as instituted by David.  Each of the 24 courses lasted a week and were repeated twice during the year. My theory is the most likely would find the key being the eighth course served in June or July, depending on the start of the Hebrew year.  Assuming a normal child bearing time of nine months, Elisabeth gave birth to John sometime in March. Jesus conception would have been around the time of the Festival of Lights (Hanukkah). Interesting that Jesus states in John 9:5  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.  If this was the time of conception, this means Jesus’ birth would have taken place the following September.  This makes a lot of sense because he would have been born during Sukkot, in a Sukkah.  Which is also known as the Feast of Booths. The Israelites including the Jews are commanded to live in makeshift buildings to commemorate the Exodus.

Another interesting note.  If this theory is correct, the priestly course that would have been in the temple at the time that Merriam (Mary) would have conceived is called Jachin. Which is translated "He will establish".  John 1:14 also states "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."  The "word" (Jesus) "was made flesh" (conceived) "and dwelt" (skenoo – from the Greek meaning to dwell or fix ones tabernacle which is also known as a booth or sukkah.)

The Long and the short of it, or... But we're under grace...

Inevitably every person I share the roots of our faith with will bring up grace. I hear arguments about why I shouldn't be following Torah (the law as it is also referred to.) Things like Jesus(Yeshua) nailed the laws to the cross. For this one, they cite Col 2:11-14  In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ,¹² having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
¹³ When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, ¹⁴ having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.

What he nailed to the cross was our sin. We cannot pay for our transgressions. He had to die to pay for all our sins because we are unable to be holy and in his presence otherwise. Some say he did away with the Law.  If he did, then he cannot be our Messiah. I believe Yeshua is the Word in the Flesh. He is God walking among us. If he added too or took away from the scriptures he would nullify himself as the Messiah. Here is my proof:

Deuteronomy 4:2  "Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.”(also Deuteronomy 12:32 "See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it."). The reason God is so adamant on this is because Psalms 119: 160 All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.Also see Proverbs 30:6.  Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.  If Yeshua added or took away scripture, he would be a liar. God cannot lie and he does not change Malachi 3:6. 

The fact of the matter is that Yeshua is constantly quoting Old Testament. Luke 10:27 says:  He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”  The first is quoting Deuteronomy 6:5 which is part of the Sh'ma and Leviticus 19:18 'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD. If you look at Matthew 22:35-36  One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: ³⁶ “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Yeshua responds with “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’^{[a] 38} This is the first and greatest commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. Many will leave it at that but he goes on to advise the Torah is still in force because he says 40 "All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”  Everything in the Law and the Prophets depends on these two commandments. There is nothing new!  It's all there.  

Some will say he fulfilled the Law.  Lets look at that word. Fulfill.  In Greek it is Pleroo which properly translated (accounting for 1st century context) means fully preach. This is what our Jewish brothers were looking for. The Jews are looking for a Messiah to teach them how to live Torah. Not "do away" with it.Why would thousands upon thousands of 1st century Israel accept him as Messiah only to have it slow to a trickle?  The "Church" began to teach the directions of the Torah were no longer relevant. Gee I wonder who could  have started that?  Who would have the most to gain from a false teaching like that? Who in this universe seeks to separate us from our Creator?  Who is jealous of our relationship with him? 

Wake up and smell the daisies people ! Throughout the Bible Satan is called the deceiver for a reason. In the Garden of Eden he twisted the words of our Father in heaven and convinced Adam and Eve to eat the fruit of the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Others will say It's all Legalism, if you follow Torah, then you live and die under the law. If this was the case, then why is it said over and over in the gospels to obey the Law. One of my favorite sites has a great list of Scripture backing Torah obedience : New2Torah.com   When says to follow his commandments, we should remember that he is GOD. God does not change. King David repeats over and over how he loves the Law. Why? Some will say that it was different then. They had the Temple and could make sacrifices for their sins. SPOILER ALERT: God never intended for the blood of innocent animals to cover the sins of man.  Yeshua is found throughout the Old Testament. The Gospel is not new. Christians talk about how we are Saved by the blood of the Lamb. How we are commanded to be baptized. This nothing new. The Israelites were saved by the blood of the Lamb (Passover). They were baptized by water (Red Sea Crossing) and they were given the Law (at Mount Sinai).   We as Christians are saved by the blood of the Lamb (Yeshua), we are to be baptized and we are now being given the Law.

The eyes of believer around the world are being opened by the Father. The scales are being removed and his people are realizing that he is coming for his bride and we are to be ready.

This means we are to be mikvah'd. This means ritually cleansed, purified. His bride has to be pure and we have not been following his commandments which were given to prepare us.  We are to follow his appointed times and feasts so that we may be ready and prepared for his return. These appointed feasts teach us the signs of his return and also teach us the marriage preparations.

Yahweh gave his people a certificate of divorce in Jeremiah 3:8 "I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed adultery." According to the Torah a man cannot remarry a wife he has divorced. Deuteronomy 24:1-4
“When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, and she departs out of his house, ² and if she goes and becomes another man's wife, ³ and the latter man hates her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter man dies, who took her to be his wife, ⁴ then her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after she has been defiled, for that is an abomination before the Lord. And you shall not bring sin upon the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance. 

Go back and read that over again. Twice. Understand? Now according to this, Yahweh cannot re-marry Israel. That should be the end of the story. However, here is the other reason Yeshua came to earth.  Romans 7:3 states: So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man. Yeshua is God(Yahweh) and because he died, Israel is free from the divorce and able to marry again.

Yeshua talks about the Marriage supper of the Lamb in the parable of the 10 virgins. Matthew 25:1-13
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. ² Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. ³ For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, ⁴ but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. ⁵ As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. ⁶ But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ ⁷ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ ⁹ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ ¹⁰ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. ¹¹ Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ ¹² But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ ¹³ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

I`d like to submit to you that the 10 Virgins are all believers in Yeshua as the Messiah. Some people say its believers and non-believers. That doesn`t make sense. Why would non-believers want to attend the marriage supper?  I believe the 5 Virgins that gain access to the Marriage supper are those believers following Torah while those that don`t believe the Law is still valid will be left out of the celebration. I`m not saying they won`t gain eternal life, that is not for me to say, but consider this Matthew 7:21-23 states:

²¹ `Not every one who is saying to me Lord, lord, shall come into the reign of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens. ²² Many will say to me in that day, Lord, lord, have we not in thy name prophesied? and in thy name cast out demons? and in thy name done many mighty things? ²³ and then I will acknowledge to them, that -- I never knew you, depart from me ye who are working lawlessness.

The Narrow Path

I guess it would be to a good idea to explain the parameters that our Father in heaven gave his people on how they are to interact with him.  What I mean is, Yahweh has told us how we are to live our lives, but more importantly he gives us commandments which we cannot pick and choose from.  Yes, most everyone is familiar with the Ten commandments :

And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

These are the basics.  There are in fact 613 commandments listed in the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament).  Now all of people have been falsely taught that keeping these commands is the bondage that Yeshua spoke of in Galatians 5.  Nothing could be further from the truth!  You can't apply the Bible without understanding the context in which it was written.  People foreget the New testament was not around in the days of Yeshua.  The people of the day knew the Old Testaments and did their best to follow the laws set forth.  The bondage came from the Pharisees that added to the laws numerous requirements to "assist" the people from breaking Yahweh's commandments.

These rabbinic laws are still referred to by many Jews as mitzvot (commandments), even though they are not part of the original 613 commandments. Many Jews consider the rabbinic laws to be as binding as Torah laws, and the are commonly divided into three categories: gezeirah, takkanah and minhag. A gezeirah is a law instituted by the rabbi's to prevent people from accidentally violating a Torah commandment and is commonly referred to as a fence around the Torah Law.  For example, the Torah commands us not to work on Sabbath,  but a gezeirah commands jews  not to even handle an implement that you would be used to perform prohibited work (such as a pencil, money, a hammer), because someone holding the implement might forget that it was Sabbath and perform prohibited work..  In fact in Yeshua's day it was prohibited to carry anything larger than a fig. A takkanah is a rule unrelated to biblical laws that was created by the rabbis for the public welfare. For example,  The "mitzvah" to light candles on Chanukkah, a post-biblical holiday, is also a takkanah. The word takkanah is derived from the Hebrew root Tav-Qof-Nun, meaning to fix, to remedy or to repair. It is the same root as in "tikkun olam," repairing the world, or making the world a better place, an important concept in all branches of Judaism. Lastly Minhag is treated as a category of  rabbinical commandments, mostly because it is clearly not from the Torah. A minhag is a custom that developed for  religious reasons and has continued long enough to become a binding religious practice. For example,"second, extra day of holidays" (rabbinical law institutes an extra day added to many holidays because in ancient times, there was doubt as to which day was the correct day).  This was originally instituted as a gezeirah, so that people outside of  Israel, not certain of the day of a holiday, would not accidentally violate the holiday's commandment. After the mathematical calendar was instituted and they felt there was no doubt about the days, the added second day was not necessary. The rabbis considered ending the practice at that time, but decided to continue it as a minhag. 

Why did I explain all that?  Well, that is the bondage Yeshua was talking about.  Deut 4:2 states Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you. The rabbi's added to the Commandments thinking that they were entitled to!. In fact Yeshua even chastized them for this :

Many scholars, teachers, pastors and believers will quickly point out: Romans 6:14-15  For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.¹⁵  What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!  Paul was writing about the Law of Sin and Death which is the punishment for breaking the law of Torah. 1John 3:4 states⁴ Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.  These two passages are more profound when translated in the Jewish Bible:  

¹⁴ For sin will not have authority over you; because you are not under legalism but under grace.
¹⁵ Therefore, what conclusion should we reach? “Let’s go on sinning, because we’re not under legalism but under grace”? Heaven forbid!  Legalism is the bondage of rabbinical law !   1 John 3:4 ⁴ Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah.  If the law was too hard to keep, why did Yahweh say in Deut 30:11  11 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.

It provides so much information right at your finger tips, Thank you Zac Bauer @ New2Torah.com for this introduction  You can see that todays translations leave something to be desired and are likely a major reason that people don't follow the commandments as they should.  I encourage you to dig deeper into the scriptures. Yahweh tells us in Jeremiah 29:13-14 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
